Rated R is a very thickly made black son of SLC Empire, a grandson of donor cow YHR 54Y. 80H is siring a pile of muscle, thickness and performa ce. His first set of calves are excellent, the bulls performing very well on test.

In 1999, he was bull calf campion at both the Canadian National Show and and the Denver National Show. In both shows he went on to be Reserve National Champion. In the same year, he was Grand Champion at Agribition and the Nile. He was also the 2000 Canadian National Champion Bull and 2000 Reserve Grand Champion at Denver and 2000 Junior Champion at Denver.
